Neolamprologus Multifasciatus - M/L 1-2"

Sold Out

Neolamprologus Multifasciatus - Medium/Large 1-2", Unsexed, Tank Raised
Temperament: Territorial
Conspecific Temperament: Aggressive

Maximum Size: Males 2", Females 1.5"
Feeding: Good flake foods, small Cichlid Pellets (small) and some meaty treats occasionally.

Place of Origin: Lake Tanganyika.  Found in areas with scattered rocks and sand around the shoreline of the lake, in areas where there are empty snail shells.

A shell dweller that is territorial.  It will vigorously defend its shell and the area around around it.  It can be combined with other fish that inhabit other areas of the aquarium.  Good choices include rockdwellers such as brichardi or smaller species of julidochromis of cyprochromis.  A large group will typically form a nice colony, but be sure to have enough "shells" (we use PVC elbows to prevent them from getting stuck in the shell when they dart into them). Try to keep more females than males as this will keep the fighting to a minimum. Excellent for smaller/nano aquariums around 20+ gallons.
